How to throw a party

So, you want to make a very good party? You want to know how to throw a birthday party or how to throw a party for some other purpose? You want that all your friends are really happy with the way it turned out? Maybe you want to throw a party that all your friends will be jealous of? I won't go into your reasons, I'll just give you some tips on how to make it a very good party!

Check these things about your guests:

• Who will come to your party
• What age are the people coming
• What do people that are coming like
• Is it a mixed crowd, or perhaps all the people are of the same type (e.g. gaming party or doctor party or whatever)
• Are they mostly men or women
• How long do you think they can/want to stay

Check these things about yourself:

• What do you want to accomplish with this party
• Why are you throwing this party (sounds stupid, but it will help you a lot in deciding how you want to throw your party)
• Is it important to you to impress your guests a lot or do you want a more modest party
• How long can you stay up and still be of use to your guests - don't throw parties that last for so long and are so intensive that you end up leaving your guests to themselves (although in some cases and in some parties, guests have the best time when they're left alone)
• How much money do you have available for your party and how much do you want to spend

Additional things to take care of:

• Make a list of things you need to do for your party
• Make sure everyone knows how to arrive
• Make sure you have enough time to prepare food, drinks, decorations - whatever
• Invite some of the guests that are you close friends to help you both plan and prepare the party and share they ideas on how to throw a party

Execution:

Once you know all those things about yourself and your attitude towards the party and all those things about your guests just connect it all and you're on your route to a great party. Don't be worried about small things not turning out 100% perfectly, what counts is the end feeling that your guests will have and that is based on the general success of your party, not on the fact that you're missing one plastic fork when you already have too much of them anyway.

Be cool. If you're not relaxed, your guests will not enjoy themselves and that's the key to having a good party. You can do everything perfectly and end up with a terrible party just because you were in a bad mood because you put too much strain on yourself. Don't do that.
