Low rate credit cards have always had high appeal amongst people, and rightfully so, because they give you a possibility to have less expenses, obviously. Let's see what are some of the best credit cards with low rate that come to my mind. I hope that you will find this overview useful.
- Miles by Discover Card - with an APR of 10.99% (variable), this is a very nice offer and also an excellent choice for all you travellers. I don't think I did a review of this card on my Hubs, this is also a good remainder for me to do it.
- Capital One VentureOne Rewards - 0% intro APR on purchases valid until a specified day. You have no annual fee with this credit card as well and no foreign transactions fees which did come in handy to a lot of people.
- Citi Platinum Select MasterCard - If you have a nice credit, this is one of the best offers. They have a 0% APR on balance transfers for 18 months and 0% APR on purchases for a full year. This card has a feature that I love - everybody's shopping online these days, and this card will give you a separate credit card number just for online shopping, making it less vulnerable to frauds.
- Discover More Card - You can follow the link to view my review of this card. It's a very nice card with cash back feature giving between 11.99% and 20.99% rate. APR on balance transfers is 0% and that's valid for 15 months. Of course, for a card that's this nice you need a good credit rating, but I think that you know that already. If you read my review by following the link above, you will see that I didn't find any serious problems or downsides regarding this card. Recommended.
- Citi Platinum Select MasterCard - Again a card that I've reviewed, so follow the link for the full article. 0% intro APR for balance transfers and 0% intro APR for purchases valid for 12 months. There is no annual fee and you can have discounts on travelling, gifts and more. As I've already concluded, this is a very nice card. Recommended.
- Discover Motiva Card - interest rate between 11.99% and 20.99%. There is a nice and positive catch with this card - if you pay your bills regularly for 6 months, you will get a nice bonus that is equal to a months' interest.
More advice on getting a low interest credit card
You have to understand that the interest rate is in relation to your credit score. With higher score, you will get less interest, that's understandable, the issuers want to protect themselves (and make as much money as possible, of course... that's how today's economy works).
Cards with monthly periodic rates have in reality a lower interest than those with a daily periodic rate. Many people don't even think about this, but if it's important for you to choose really the best card out there (for your needs), takes this into consideration too.
Finally, you just have to use your common sense when you're choosing your low interest credit card. Take a look at who the issuer is, can the company be trusted, read reviews, talk to your friends, use pages like mine to figure out the best solution for you. With a good credit rating, everybody will be willing to offer you things with lower interest rates, because they know that they can trust you.
I wish you good luck with your low interest credit cards!
