If you've been reading my other Hubs, you've noticed that I'm a fan of Aloe Vera. I've written several Hubs on Aloe Vera and you are invited, by all means, to check those out too! Today I will be talking about my personal experiences with Aloe Vera. There are also some people close to me that have used Aloe Vera and I'll try to tell you what it did for them too. I hope that you'll find this interesting and informative, so let's get started.
Aloe Vera juice
I'm taking this for some time now and I think that the best way to start talking about it is to say that I've seen zero side effects. My wife is taking it as well and she hasn't reported any side effects to me either. We both enjoy it a lot and it makes us feel good. Having had problems with bad Pap test results, we can appreciate the added safety that drinking Aloe Vera juice has given us, the Pap test doesn't show any problems at all at the moment and we're really, really happy about it.
Actually, that's what got me started in taking Aloe Vera drinks as well, I think I'm doing my body a favour by taking it, I think that I'm improving my immune system and helping many other problems such as my gastritis that kicks in when I show my love for food in an overly intense way.
My wife and me are, at the moment, using a concentrated juice that's produced in the USA and it's pretty costly (well, that's a relative thing and depends on where you live and how high your salaries are there). We're in Europe and the price here is around $25 per around one litre and that lasts us around one month.
Having all this in mind, we'll definitely be buying more when we run out. Herbal medicines are the way!
Aloe Vera gels
I've had problems with sensitive skin for a long time and my wife always needs something to soothe her skin after hair removal etc. I've bought her Aloe Vera gel that she uses often and she loves it. Actually, I don't think she would use anything else on her legs after using this. It's very affordable here in Europe and it really does help and work.
I've also tried it on my sensitive skin (I get red patches on my face sometimes, dry skin etc.) and it did definitely help moisturize it and get it in better shape. It wasn't enough to completely stop me using the cream that I've been using for many years now, but it definitely did help. Maybe if I was more persistent, it would help even further.
I've also used that same Aloe Vera gel to treat various skin irritations from burns and other causes and it did really work well. It has a certain soothing effect that I enjoy.
A fellow Hub writer has also reported that Aloe Vera gel helps her sunburns immensely, so that's good to note also!
Other Aloe Vera products that I am yet to try
Aloe Vera shampoos comes to my mind immediately. I think they would definitely help my scalp and soothe my skin. We will research our buying options online when we decide to purchase it. Aloe Vera tea is also something that looks attractive and I've even seen it packaged in a nice way to make it a very nice gift. Also, I've seen Aloe Vera cologne available, which is another great present for your male friends that love herbs and natural things. The last, but not the least, there's Aloe Vera bath and I certainly won't show this Hub to my wife until I get an Aloe Vera bath ready for her because I know she'll ask for it the minute she hears about it!
Take care!
