Chase Freedom Visa information

This card is, to say it right in the beginning, a very good card. When you're looking for the best credit card, this could be one of the ones you want. It has a nice rebate formula that I'll speak in more detail in just a second and also nice features like no annual fee etc. Let's take a look, but before I want to explain that Chase has Visa and MasterCard version of this card.

Good sides:

  • Generally you earn 1% for every dollar spent with your Chase Freedom Visa, but there's more, read on
  • You get 5% rebate on selected categories. Which categories are currently subject to this depends on the time of the year. In summer the categories in question are fuel, travel, hotels etc. You get the picture.
  • You can get rebates when you shop through the Chase portal online which has some interesting offers
  • 0% intro APR for balance transfers made in the first 30 days
  • 0% intro APR on purchases for the first 6 months
  • No annual fee for this Chase Visa card
  • Many good reviews of this card, people are happy with it

Bad sides:

  • Pretty hard to get, you need a very good credit rating (very good to excellent) - well, that's not really a typical bad side considering that this is that type of the card that requires high FICO score (680 to 720+)
  • Monthy $600 limit on the bonus categories (read above for more information)

Summary

Chase Freedom Visa is a very good card which requires equally good credit to be acquired. I know a few people that are writing about credit cards that have this card, and that says a lot. It provides you with good rebate formula and other features. If your FICO score is borderline for getting this card, you can try calling the number on the rejection letter and possibly obtain your card (this worked in a few cases). Good luck!
